A talent showcase to help raise money to rebuild local DC public school libraries.

The condition of the libraries in local DC public schools are not up to par, and Street Bid'Naz needs your help to change it!

Date: Thursday November 5, 2009

Time: 7pm

Where: Howard University's Drew Hall Lounge.

Cost: $3.00 or a book *High School Reading Level Books Preferred!

DJ Chubby Swag on the 1s and 2s plus special guest performances and refreshments available.

Come experience sounds of blackness with Street Bid'naz at Sankofa Bookstore and Cafe located at 2714 Georgia Ave, NW Washington,D.C. on February 27, 2009.

Join our journey of memory, reflection and progress as we celebrate Black History while Making Black History.

Additional individuals who wish to participate in the open mic must meet at Sankofa at 6:00pm. Slots are limited.



In the spirit of Sankofa (reaching back to move forward) and Ujima (collective work and responsibility) thank you for your dedication to our community. 100% of the proceeds goes toward Cardozo Senior High School students.
